Welcome to Salah Tracker for Kids is a fun and interactive app for the iPhone or iPod that encourages Muslim children to pray 5 times a day. All children need a little encouragement to get them into the habit of our very important duty to perform salah. In this digital age, what better way to do this than through a reward system that can be taken with you anywhere, be it school, home, or the masjid! This unique reward system allows parents to specify the number of salah that need to be performed before the child can receive a reward and keeps track of which salah are being performed on a regular basis. Choose from our default list of rewards or create one of your own that best piques your child's interests. Salah Tracker for Kids allows children to input the salah they performed on their own janamaz icon and offers immediate gratification for performing each salah. Let's use this app and get our Muslim children excited about praying inshAllah!

As salam alaikum!! I am so excited to share this project with you and your family! I am a mother of three young children and we reside in Long Island, NY. This is my very first app that was developed with Super Web Solutions.
The idea began while I was encouraging my 5 year old daughter to get into the habit of praying 5 times a day. In this day and age, technology plays a big role in our children's lives. I began to do some research on the web and noticed that while there were many apps to teach kids how to pray, there were none to encourage them to pray. Therefore, I designed an app that would slowly ease my 5 year old into the idea of praying 5 times a day, so that when she turns 7, insha'Allah, it will be easy for her.
Just as we reward good behavior in school, I feel it is important to reward good behavior in the deen. Of course, the final reward lies with Allah (swt)!

* How do I get started? *
The first step in the app is for the parents to log in and set their password. Then they should "Add Child" and select prayer mat for each child that they would like to use the app. For each child, the parent should set the number of salah that should be performed before receiving a reward. In this section, they should also select up to three rewards for the child to select from and press "Submit." Now the app is ready for use by your child.
* How do I add a child *
After logging in the parent section, the user should choose "Add Child." Enter in the child's name and select prayer mat. Then go back and select that child's prayer mat and set rewards. You may add up to 6 children.
* I only see the progress screen for one week. What happens after that? *
You can reset your progress by entering into your child's account in the parent section and select reset progress on the bottom left side of the screen. The app is designed to be used at your own pace and used over and over again. Repetition is the key to building a habit!
*How do I add a salah?
After the app is set up in the parent log in section, your child can begin to input their salah by clicking the "Bismillah" button on the Home Screen. From there, they can choose their prayer mat and hit "Add Salah." Next they find the corresponding salah that they performed and hit "Submit." They should then be taken to the progress screen where their salah will be added.
